Deirdre is available for: Open Panel Discussions Small Group Talks Media Interview Workshops/Seminars Topics include: coparenting, addiction and the importance of the father-daughter relationship Deirdre Bey is a wife, mom, bonus-mom, adjunct professor, mental health professional and author of the book, “Play Nice: The Journey of Parenting, Co-Parenting, and Life in Between”, which takes you through her personal journey of co-parenting with an addicted partner. Ms. Bey holds a master’s degree in clinical counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. One of her core values is the importance of family. She is an advocate for woman’s and children’s rights. The one theme she has learned throughout her personal and professional journey that stands true is “children learn what they live.” Since women are generally the gatekeepers of the family unit, women must strive to be their best and authentic selves enabling them to strengthen their children, their relationships and their communities. Ms. Bey has over thirty years of experience working with individuals and families within the community and within the juvenile and adult correctional systems. She is currently retired after thirty-one years of state service.
